20 days til we head to D.C. I know it’s all I talk about…well, people usually bring it up too. I’m excited and nervous. I’m happy that I get to spend some away time with the family and learn at such a God-glorifying church. I get to go to Sunday School at Capital Hill Baptist Church because they provide baby care during class. Yay! I’m nervous to meet new friends, and having TWO little bundles of joy next year. I’m also scared of missing my family and crying
I will miss my mommy, popps, sisters, mom and dad, T.I., grandma, brothers, nieces, nephews, Kennedy & Xander (oh little Xander, and Kennedy!), close family friends, and of course the church family! I know it is only for 6 months but still, I’m pregnant and very emotional!
Elijah is so big. Last night he was so friendly with Sabrina, touching her eyes and nose, and wanting to get in the action of Geneyem breastfeeding Sabrina (“Elijah stop!” I cautioned) it just made me happy at how much he will be able to interact with Pan Dulce and how I want him to be around him and touch him and love him
How exciting.
Our favorite Elijah mannerism of the day:
When he does “Ojitos” (in English, “little eyes”)

So today was the first day I actually packed something! Took down all the frames and put them in a Bratcher friendly box (thank you so much for the boxes). I packed a total of one box, yay! PJ, packed two boxes of books…oh, man there is a lot more where that came from.
Other news- I believe we are finally getting our SLR, we lost our only camera so I asked nicely if we can save up for our new camera, a fabulous SLR, my Beloved said YES! So we are looking around, scooping out the scene. Lord willing we will have it very soon
Thank you Lord, for providing…really out of nowhere.
Over and out,
Frances t.

Pecos Bill was a rooting, tooting cowboy,
with no fear of a critter, BIG or small
He was the bravest and the best
He put the wild, in wild wild west
He was the ridenist, ropernist cowboy of them all…
(i have more pictures of Pecos Lijah but we ran out of uploading space!)

Today was PJ’s half b-day, I didn’t prepare anything
, but Elijah and I made him a card, it read…
Abba,
You’re the best and we thank you for taking care of us all the time. When mommy is not feeling well, you take care of me and love us. Thank you for that. Sorry for not planning a better 1/2 b-day
but please know we love and appreciate you. You’re “the best” (Nacho voice).
love,
Elijah Rock, mommy and Pan D.

We ordered our favorite, yummy black tie pasta and shoe string fries (Abba’s favorite) from Claim Jumpers, and watched Mr. Brooks. Elijah was in his pj’s all day but we went along with daddy to pick up our food.
Earlier in the day mom came over with PAN DULCE! She made hot chocolate and we ate them together—so great! Jennifer, mom, PJ, Elijah and myself sat at the table and were warmed by the hot chocolate. You gotta to dip your pan dulce in the hot chocolate…it’s so good.
We love you Abba!

A good time at the Punchkin patch. Elijah didn’t want to leave, he loved it so much that he brought a rock as a sovenior. Grandma came along and enjoyed watching Elijah run around.
For some odd reason mommy would mess up and call it the Punchkin patch…we would all burst out laughing
chillin with his punchkin friends

Look it’s HE-MAN!
we built elijah a fortress of punchkin’s…he kept going back to it
we told elijah to say “cheese” and he did with an uncomfortable smirk.
elijah runs from grandma
I had a great family picture but it doesn’t upload nicely (we need a new camera…maybe). I haven’t updated because I always loose connection or it just simply freezes. This time I was able to endure. I will update Halloween pics soon. Elijah’s cute.

Today I did a flip onto the bed and Elijah saw it. He started jumping on the bed (he’s been doing this a lot lately). As soon as he started jumping I turned over on the bed to look at him and I saw him land, and then bounce off the landing and off the bed head first to the wood floor. I reached for him and grabbed his legs as (or just before) he hit the floor with his forehead. He started screaming. His first fall off the bed for jumping, second fall off the bed in his life.
At least he didn’t hit with full impact because I caught him as (or just before) he hit the floor so his full body weight didn’t go into it or cause his neck to bend back.
God is good through Christ. By his grace Elijah didn’t die or break his neck. By Christ’s grace his parents still trust and thank God. That’s why this blog is called “Christ and the Tibayan Family.” It’s not just an Elijah story, it’s a Christ and Elijah story.

Yesterday was Elijah’s half birthday. In our family (consisting of PJ, Frances, Elijah and little pan dulce) we celebrate half birthdays. Long ago PJ and I made a list of stuff we wanted to make family traditions, one of them was half birthdays. I’m sad that I don’t feel well enough to make anything happen, but we did do some 1st time things. Elijah and I played poker and made a tent in the house with a blanket–mommy won the game with a full house!
Lord willing Elijah, your next half birthday will be better
It’s just that mommy doesn’t want to do anything but stare at a wall
I love you son and you have been a blessing to your Abba and me for a whole year and a half. Things that make me smile that you do: wear your cute little boots around the house, say “Elmo”, dance around, get so happy when being chased, say “mommy” and “abba”, and just look so cute! You are not ours to keep but a loaner and I pray that me and your daddy will train you up to fear and love the Lord. We love you.

Yesterday we had a mini picnic, it was great just to get out of the house and breath fresh air! Elijah cried because he wouldn’t eat and Abba didn’t want him to come out of his stroller without eating something. He’s been very picky and not wanting to eat anything, he takes two bites then spits the rest out. But he finally ate and ran around and pointed at all the planes and birds. He chased Abba and then Abba chased him. I just sat, enjoying the breeze, enjoying the break of feeling nauseous.
Last night I was craving pan dulce from the Panderia, and we went to get some. I love going inside there, it smells so good and they’re always friendly, it’s like walking into Mexico. I was able to enjoy Mexican bread, use my Spanish words, and feel right at home. For just a $1.80 I got 4 pan dulces and 1 birote which I enjoyed this morning with egg and beans…very scrumptious. PJ doesn’t like any of the sweet bread so he just enjoys me enjoying the bread. Both PJ and I, hope Elijah will like pan dulce when he gets a little bigger so he can go inside and choose any bread he likes. When I was young I use to love going with my mom to the Panderia because I’d choose my favorite pan– the one with sprinkles.
My lovely pan dulce!

So pregnancy is not good for me. Well, what I mean is that I get morning sickness everyday with no real relief, but the weird thing is that I don’t throw up, but just feel noxious all day long. I’ve been telling PJ he is poisonous, but he doesn’t flinch. I feel sad because I haven’t been enjoying Elijah much. He is cute and I want to play with him but I just can’t, I feel gross. Like I told Jennifer, i just want to lay down on a big block of ice. I’ve been having weird sensations. My preferences change every second, nothing stays the same. I’ve been trying to sing “In Moments Like These” and that has refocused me from time to time.
